Auch wenn es hier kälter und kälter wird wollen wir mit euch über etwas… heißeres sprechen! Ok, Scherz bei Seite. 🙂 Heute werden wir euch von einer Besonderheit der Bienen berichten welche mich ganz besonders Beeindruckt hat. Nein, sie hat mich regelrecht geschockt. Sehr! Aber wir alle wissen das alles in der Natur seinen Sinn und Zweck hat also sei nicht zu sehr beunruhigt. Wahrscheinlich müsst ihr am Ende sogar darüber lachen! Zumindest war es das was all jenen passierte denen ich diese Kuriosität aus der Welt der Bienen erzählte. C’mon, wir wissen das wir dein Interesse geweckt haben… Sei Bereit, denn wenn du nicht besonders vertraut mit der Welt der Bienen bist, ist das sicherlich komplett neu für dich.

Die Paarungsarena

Nun wollen wir uns dem Schwarzgelben Universum auf Zehenspitzen nähern, um einen Blick auf einen besonders intimen Moment zu werfen. Die Paarung. Die Bienenkönigin als das Weibchen und der Drohne als Männchen. Doch, eigentlich nicht nur einem Männchen. Ein paar mehr. Etwas zwischen ein paar hundert und 15 tausend Drohnen. Es hängt davon ab wie viele Bienenvölker es in der Region gibt. In Frühling und Sommer versammeln sich die Drohnen in diesen Begattungsarenen. Sie alle warten dann auf die erste vorbei kommende Bienenkönigin. Doch was ist diese Arena? Wo ist sie? Diese Zonen finden wir in ca. 40 Meter Höhe, sie kann einen Durchmesser zwischen ein paar duzend und ein paar hundert Metern. In den heißesten Stunden des Tages versammeln sich die Drohnen dort.

Was dann passiert??

Für etwa eine halbe Stunde bleiben die Drohnen dann dort und warten. Wenn dann eine Bienenkönigin vorbei kommt beginnen die Drohnen sie zu beachten. Doch auch dann nur wenn Die Bienenkönigin diesen speziellen Arenabereich auch betritt. Die Bienenkönigin findet diese Arenen ohne Probleme da sie von den Pheromonen angelockt wird. In ihrem ganzen Leben verlässt die Bienenkönigin ihr Volk nur einmal und auch nur zu diesem Zweck, zum kopulieren. Sagen wir einmal ist für sie einfach genug. Eh, doch was für ein Mal: sie trifft sich nicht nur mit einem Drohn! Es dürfen schon 8 bis 20 Partner sein. Dadurch sammelt die sie ca. 6 Millionen Spermien ein. Glaub uns, das reicht für den Rest ihres Lebens. Eine weitere Kuriosität ist, dass nur die Bienenkönigin Eier legt. Aber Warum? Die Arbeiterinnen sind doch auch weiblich! Ja genau, allerdings sind die Fortpflanzungsorgane der Arbeiterinnen unterentwickelt oder verändert. Deshalb haben während ihrer Existenz andere Verpflichtungen und Aufgaben. Wusstest du das auch der Stachel ein primitiverer Rest ihrer Fortpflanzungsorgane ist? Es handelt sich um die modifizierte Version des Organs zum Eierlegen ist. Deshalb haben auch nur die Weiblichen Bienen einen Stachel. Du kannst deswegen auch NIE von einem Drohn gestochen werden. 🙂

Halt mal… Warum lautet der Titel ‚der Tod der Drohne‘??

Ach ja, das wollte ich euch auch noch erzählen! Drohnen haben zwei Hoden welche die Samenflüssigkeit enthalten. so weit also nichts neues. Allerdings werden diese bei der Befruchtung der Bienenkönigin gewaltsam herausgerissen. Der arme Drohn ist schlicht zu vielen Emotionen ausgesetzt… oder besser zu viel Druck. Wortwörtlich eine Explosion des Glücks! Welcher der der kleine Körper nicht standhalten kann. Man kann sagen das der Tod der Drohne auf dem Höhepunkt ihrer Existenz erfolgt. (hab ich gehört wie dir deine Kinnlade herunter geklappt ist?) 🙂

Hast du das gewusst? Ehrlicherweise muss ich sagen das ich das nicht glauben konnte, als Basti mir zuerst davon erzählte. Ich kann mich auch noch gut an die Reaktion meiner Eltern erinnern als ich es ihnen erzählte. Laut lachend fragten sie mich: ‚Ma dighet del bu??‚ (‚Meinst du das ernst??‚, In meinem Dialekt). Natürlich, die Armen Drohnen… ganz sicher ein unerwarteter Tod. Glaubst du nicht auch?
