Warum sind Bienen so Wichtig?

Das bin ich, Cri. Bis ich nach Deutschland gezogen bin, vor der Pandemie, Anfang Februar 2020. Jetzt ist es noch genauso, nur rufe ich nicht mehr meinen Papá sondern Basti.

Dies nur damit du verstehst, dass ich nie – auch jetzt noch nicht – eine große Insektenliebhaberin und auch keine Expertin war. 

ABER ich habe Bienen auch nie verachtet und ich war mir immer zu 100% sicher dass Bienen wichtig sind! Ich hatte schon immer die Auffassung, dass Bienen sehr sehr Bedeutend sind.

Dann, als ich Sebastian den Imker (genannt ‚Basti‘) zum ersten mal traf konnte ich nicht anders als zu mir selbst zu sagen: „ooooh cool, ich kenne einen Imker!!!“ 

Brennender Enthusiasmus erfüllte mich jedes mal wenn er von seinen Bienen sprach. 

„‚Sooo interessant: Bienen!!!‘ und ‚Sie sind so wichtig!‘ … aber… ‚Warum sind sie so wichtig?'“ An diesem Punkt realisierte ich, dass ich nie so viel darüber herausgefunden hatte.

 

OK, Bienen sind Wichtig, aber warum?

Für dich mag die Frage banal erscheinen, aber für mich – sicherlich bin ich nicht die einzige – war es nicht so einfach eine bestimmte, sichere und umgehende Antwort zu geben.

Also… sind Bienen so wichtig weil sie Honig (und mehr?) produzieren?

 

Nein, eigentlich nicht, auch wenn dies ein Grund sein kann sie zu unterstützen.

Hauptgrund ist das Bienen die am häufigsten vorkommende Bestäubungs Methode der Welt repräsentieren. 

Während der Bestäubung (das bedeutet: ‚Pflanzen machen liebe‘) werden Pollen vom Staubbeutel – das ist das äußere Ende der männlichen Blüte – zur Narbe in der weiblichen Blüte transportiert.

Hermaphroditische Blüten und Gräser – diese besonders netten, die manche Menschen wie verrückt Niesen lassen, du kennst sie sicher! – haben trockene und leichte Pollen die sich mit Hilfe des Windes verteilen.

Deshalb sind, für diese Art von Pflanzen, Bienen nicht involviert.

 

Dennoch gibt es sehr viele Pflanzen welche die externe Hilfe von Tieren benötigen, diese werden entomophile Pflanzen genannt. Das ist es, Bienen sind die besten Bestäuber! Der beste Amor den sich entomophile Pflanzen wünschen können.

 

Warum dieser erste Platz?

Weil Bienen unaufhaltbare Arbeiter sind: jeder könnte Eifersüchtig auf ihre Beharrlichkeit und Leidenschaft beim Sammeln werden. Desweiteren – das ist  Essentiell – lieben es Bienen von Blüte zu Blüte zu fliegen und dabei wählen sie  mit einer bestimmten Logik immer die selbe Art.

praktisch gesehen, Was passiert wirklich? 

Die Biene taucht in die Blüte ein, bereit den Nektar zu kosten. Dabei muss sie an dem berühmten Staubbeutel(woran die Pollen sind, erinnerst du dich?) vorbei krabbeln und dabei berührt sie diesen zwangsläufig. In dem Moment bleibt auch Polen am feinen Pelz der Biene haften. Diese Pollen fallen, wiederum durch Berührung, in einer der danach besuchten Blüten zufällig ab…Voilá.

 

 

Wenn die Blüte zu der selben Pflanze gehört, sprechen wir von Selbstbestäubung, wenn sie stattdessen zu einer anderen Pflanze der selben Gattung gehört, sprechen wir von Fremdbestäubung.

Unnötig zu erwähnen, dass diese letzte von grundlegender Bedeutung für unsere Kultivierung von Nutzpflanzen und den Erhalt der natürlichen Artenvielfalt in unserem Ökosystem ist.  

denk einen Moment darüber nach: wie könnten sich diese Pflanzen ohne Bestäuber reproduzieren?

Vielleicht klingt dieses ‚Bienen&Blumen‘ Beispiel ein wenig verwirrend. Im Grunde genommen bedeutet dies, dass ohne die Hilfe von Bienen, einige unserer favorisierten Nahrungsmittel einfach von unserem Planeten verschwinden würden und dies würde das Natürliche Gleichgewicht natürlich negativ beeinflussen.

 

 

Bienen sind einer der Wichtigsten Bioindikatoren: denk darüber nach! Sind die Bienen zahlreich, stark und gesund, bedeutet dies, dass die Qualität der Luft sehr gut ist! Weitere Informationen über die Umgebung kann in jedem Labor ermittelt werden, zum Beispiel indem man den Honig analysiert. Dies alles sollte nicht als selbstverständlich angesehen werden, nicht wahr?

als ich all diese Informationen aufnahm, fühlte ich mich so klein (kleiner als eine Biene). ich sagte zu mir selbst: „wenn Bienen für uns so wichtig sind, sollten wir auch etwas für sie tun und sie schützen“.

an diesem Punkt… fragst du dich nicht auch: „wie kann ich wichtig für Bienen sein?“

Wilde Honigbienen und deren Bienenstöcke sind unglücklicherweise nahezu vollständig verschwunden. Wie du dir vorstellen kannst verursacht dies erhebliche Probleme für unser Ökosystem und reduziert die Vielfalt der kultivierten und wilden Pflanzen.

 

Auch die Honigbienen aus unseren Bienenstöcken habe nicht die schönste Zeit – zwischen Varroa, Pestiziden und dem Verlust natürlicher Lebensräume. Verfalle trotzdem nicht gleich in Panik, dies Bedeutet nur, dass wir strapazierfähiger, respektvoller, selbstloser und fleißiger sein müssen (genau wie eine Biene, nicht wahr?) um unser bestes für den Schutz der Bienen und des natürlichen Gleichgewichts beizutragen.

Darüber nachgedacht gibt es so viele Dinge die jeder, auch ohne selbst ein Imker zu sein, tun kann. Obendrein kann es wirklich den Unterschied machen, darauf zu drängen viele Bienenvölker um sich zu haben. Weit verteilt, wie die Sterne im wolkenlosen und wunderschönen Nachthimmel.
