Auf Zehenspitzen näherten wir uns der Intimsphäre der Bienen: von der Paarung (die armen Drohnen)zum legen der Eier. Und dann? Wie wird aus diesem winzigen Ei eine vollwertige Biene? und wenn sie geschlüpft sind, was passiert dann? Wir sprechen immer von hart arbeitenden Bienen… aber was machen Bienen den ganzen Tag? Bevor ich weiter erzähle möchte ich das ihr euch einen Moment Zeit nehmt und versucht mir diese Frage zu beantworten. Denke gut darüber nach… was machen Bienen den lieben ganzen Tag lang?

Vom Ei zum…?

Die Königin legt die Eier, aus befruchteten werden kleine Mädchen und aus unbefruchteten kleine Jungs… und dann? wie lange dauert es bis aus einem Ei in einer Zelle eine Biene schlüpft? zuerst muss man wissen das es unterschiedliche Stadien gibt. aus dem Ei wird eine Larve. Diese verpuppt sich und danach schlüpft eine vollwertige Biene. Wie lange dieser Prozess dauert hängt dann wieder von der Art der Biene ab welche sich entwickelt. Für Königinnen benötigt dieser Prozess 16 Tage, Arbeiterinnen 21 Tage und Drohnen 24 Tage.

Und dann?? Was machen Bienen in ihrem Leben?

Lass uns das Leben einer Arbeiterin ganz genau betrachten. Sie sind nicht nur am häufigsten anzutreffen, ihre Aufgaben sind außerdem besonders vielfältig. Also, hast du darüber nachgedacht? Was sind ihre Tagesfüllenden Aufgaben? Ganz sicher wissen sie viele Dinge. Sie können auch viele verschiedene Aufgaben übernehmen. Doch das besondere ist das sie diese Aufgaben nicht zufällig übernehmen. Abhängig von ihrem Alter und der Erfahrung erledigen sie spezielle Aufgaben. Das die Königin unablässig Eier legt sorgt dabei immer wieder für Nachschub. Kurz gesagt: es gibt immer jemanden der macht was gerade getan werden muss. Dabei handeln sie immer in Harmonie und mit einem tiefen Teamgeist.

Also was machen Bienen nun den ganzen Tag?

Im letzten Jahr, vor dem Ende der Hochsaison der Imkerei, schaffte ich es eine älter Biene zu stoppen. Sie kam gerade vom Nektar sammeln zur Bienenbeute. Wie du weißt bin ich sehr neugierig also fragte ich sie ob sie mir von Ihrem Leben berichtet. „Es muss sehr interessant sein und voll mit Dingen welche zu erledigen sind. Doch was genau machst du denn? Mit deiner überragenden Erfahrung und deiner Weisheit kannst mich noch etwas lehren…“ Nach einiger Schmeichelei konnte ich sie überzeugen etwas zu verweilen und mir aus ihrem Leben zu berichten. Sie hielt für ein paar Minuten an und begann zu erzählen. Natürlich habe ich mir notizen gemmacht und werde sie nun mit euch teilen. 🙂

Das typische Leben einer Arbeitsbiene

Nun, ich muss sagen das ich viele Dinge sah und viele Aufgaben übernehmen durfte in meinem alter von fast 55Tagen! Ich habe mich von ganz unten hochgearbeitet. Beginnend mit den ersten beiden arbeitsreichen Tagen in denen ich die Zellen gereinigt habe – und hast du gesehen wie viele Zellen es in unserem Bienenstock gibt? Außerdem hielt ich die zukünftigen neuen Schwestern warm! Natürlich müssen sie auch gefüttert werden, Gelee Royal zubereiten, Pollen und Honig den ganzen Tag lang. Das ist nicht nur für die kleinen Schwestern sondern auch für unsere Mutter… ach ja, unser Mutter! Ich habe mich rührend um sie gekümmert, sie gefüttert… wir würden alles für sie tun! Als ich dann 10 Tage alt wurde durfte ich die Abteilung wechseln und war verantwortlich für Honig und Pollen. Meine älteren Schwestern haben uns sooo viel Honig gebracht. Diesen haben ich und meine gleichaltrigen Schwestern haben ihn dann auf die bestmögliche Art gelagert. Die Tage flogen nur so dahin während ich die Beute reinigte und mit Wachs neue Waben baute. Das war viel Arbeit und eine große Genugtuung… welch Meisterwerke! Trotz all dem werde ich nie vergessen wie ich an meinem 17. Tag zum ersten Mal die Beute verließ. Eine schöne warme Sonne, farbenprächtige Blüten und der Duft… unbeschreiblich. Es waren wunderschöne Zeiten! Wenn wir zurück kamen erzählten wir unseren Schwestern wo auch sie Nektar finden können! Nach weiteren 2 aufopfernden Tagen, in welchen wir die Bienenbeute am Flugloch beschützten, wurde es Zeit für mich – ich war jetzt schon 22 Tage, ziehmlich alt – auf erkundungstouren zu gehen, Vorräte von Wasser, Nektar und Propolis zu sammeln. Auf diese Art und Weise war ich immer sehr Beschäftigt. Ich kann sagen das ich ein fantastisches und reiches Leben habe! Entschuldige mich nun. Ich muss weiter und meinen Schwestern die besten Sammelstellen tanzend erklären. Sie warten sicher schon auf mich! Es hat mich gefreut und bis bald.
