Imker werden. Ein Job (Ich persönlich würde es auch als Kunst beschreiben) der viele Menschen verzaubert. Ich, eine Imkerin… wer hätte sowas je erwartet? Wie auch immer, 2021 ist das Jahr in dem ich offiziell begann wirklich etwas zu tun. Richtig, praktisch anwenden was ich zuvor nur in der Theorie sah und die ersten wirklichen Schritte als werdende Imkerin. Heute ist der 19. Dezember, aber fühle ich mich bereits als fertige Imkerin? hm um ehrlich zu sein nein, aber auch weil ich glaube das es immer noch etwas mehr zu lernen, zu verbessern und zu erfahren gibt. Außerdem, mit Basti und Opa Heinz als Vorbilder, wie könnte ich mich da als Komplette Imkerin fühlen? Und doch ist es perfekt wie es ist, es sollte so sein. Mein Weg in der Imkerwelt hat begonnen: Leidenschaft und Enthusiasmus können nur größer werden umso weiter ich voranschreite. Doch was muss jemand tun der in diese summende Welt eintreten möchte? Wo sollte begonnen werden? Was sollte nicht vergessen werden? Heute werden wir uns zusammen die Basis dessen anschauen was einen guten Imker ausmacht.

Zu aller erst , die richtige Denkweise

Denkweise? Was heißt das? Die richtige Einstellung. Wie ich bereits erwähnte, Bienen sind für alle da, aber nicht jeder kann sich um sie kümmern. Nicht jeder kann Imker werden. Dafür braucht es vor allem viel Geduld. Wenn du Morgens aufstehst und aus einer Laune heraus 2 Bienenbeuten kaufst, weil du gerade Imker werden möchtest, wirst du nicht weit kommen. Im nächsten Paragraph mehr dazu. Zur Geduld gehört direkt auch viel Hingabe. Das heißt? Nun, zum Beispiel das man die meisten schönen Sommertage (natürlich auch die Wochenenden) nicht sonnenbadend und lesend verbringt, auch nicht im Strandurlaub. Stattdessen wirst du dich wahrscheinlich, in einen Schutzanzug gehüllt Bienenbeuten inspizieren, Wabe um Wabe Honig ernten oder bei dem Versuch einen Schwarm zu fangen wiederfinden. Damit verbunden die nächste wichtige Eigenschaft: Motivation. Wenn du Motiviert bist, einen tieferen Grund, eine große Leidenschaft, Neugierde und den Willen zu lernen hast werden Geduld und Hingabe kein Problem für die darstellen. Wahrscheinlich wirst du sie gar nicht als das Wahrnehmen… so geht es mir. 🙂

Wenn du Imker werden möchtest, informiere dich

Du besitzt Geduld, Hingabe und Motivation? Dann kannst du darüber nachdenken Imker zu werden. HALT, langsamer! Es ist trotzdem noch lange nicht genug! Wie viel weißt du über Bienen und Imkerei? Welche Werkzeuge wirst du brauchen? Was solltest du tun und was nicht? Ganz sicher ist es wichtig viel darüber zu lesen. Es gibt viele hilfreiche Handbücher. Nichts desto trotz wäre gut nach einem Imker in der Umgebung zu schauen und ihn darum zu bitten dein Imkerpate zu werden. Dein Imkerpate wird dir alles zeigen und dich anleiten. Felderfahrung, und sei sie nur durch das zusehen, macht den Unterschied. Hierdurch verstehst du wie es wirklich ist und ob du diesen Pfad weiter gehen möchtest. Ich glückliche lebe mit zwei Imkern von denen ich so viel lernen kann. Wie auch immer, bedenke das ich seit Februar 2020 hier lebe und erst dieses Jahr begann praktische Erfahrungen zu sammeln. Dies nur damit du verstehst das man besser langsam und beobachtend anfängt als sofort zu starten!

Von der Theorie in die Praxis und dann? Davon gebrauch machen? Du wirst die richtigen Werkzeuge brauchen! Diese beiden Seiten gehören zueinander: wenn du viel gelernt hast aber dir die richtigen Werkzeuge fehlen, wie könntest du weiter machen? Andererseits, wenn du alle Werkzeuge hast aber noch nicht genug weißt, wie kannst du die Werkzeuge dann richtig anwenden? Die Basis von all dem sind wieder Geduld, Hingabe und Motivation. Siehst du den roten Faden?

Wenn du nun also sicher bist den Punkt erreicht zu haben, an dem zu so bereit bist wie du nur sein kannst, benötigst du noch den richtigen Platz für die Bienenbeuten. Natürlich muss du dir auch welche kaufen. Der Schutzanzug darf auch nicht fehlen, genauso wenig wie all die unterschiedlichen Werkzeuge für Inspektionen(zum Beispiel der Bienenbesen oder der Smoker). Daneben gibt es noch viele andere Dinge die du brauchst und wenn du Honig ernten möchtest benötigst du auch noch die richtigen Werkzeuge und Hilfsmittel hierfür. Ohne Zweifel muss du zu beginn erst einmal einiges investieren, auch das solltest du beachten wenn du beschließt anzufangen. Wie du dir vorstellen kannst gibt es sowohl teure Werkzeuge als auch günstigere. Es stimmt aber auch das die meisten für mehrere Jahre genutzt werden können. Alles in allem, ein echtes Investment das du beachten solltest wenn dieses Hobby startest.

Wie wäre es mit einem Imkerverein aus der Umgebung?

Also, es ist offiziell – du hast beschlossen ein Imker zu werden! spätestens an diesem Punkt solltest du dir einen Imkerverein in der Nähe suchen und beitreten. Es ist nicht nur vorgeschrieben, du bist auch versichert und du wirst immer Hilfe in Rat und Tat erhalten. Du zahlst einen nicht zu hohen Jährlichen Beitrag basierend auf der Anzahl der Völker, dafür bist du 100% legal und auch versichert.

Es gibt noch mehr, aber dies sind die wichtigsten Dinge die es braucht ein Imker zu werden! Unnötig zu erwähnen das du für diese große Leidenschaft auch sehr viel Zeit zur Verfügung haben musst. vielleicht denkst du jetzt: „Geld, Zeit, Geduld, Hingabe… warum sollte ich so etwas beginnen?“. Meine Meinung? Ja, es ist fordernd, ganz besonders am Anfang, Aber es gibt dir so viel mehr zurück. Wenn du viel Leidenschaft, Lebensfreude hast wird die Imkerei dein Leben nur noch besonderer machen. !
