Proprio in quell’occasione, ti avevamo citato il green deal. Se ne parla qua e lá, un po’ al TG, un po’ su qualche testata online e non. Ma che cos´é di preciso? Green dall’inglese verde, qualcosa mi dice che centra con la natura, con l’ambiente…sí, me lo sento, dev’essere cosí! Ma poi? Se ti va di scoprire qualcosa di piú al riguardo insieme a noi, non ti resta che proseguire con la lettura!

SOS Biodiversitá

Ti abbiamo giá parlato proprio qui Perché le api sono cosí importanti? – Gaeblini di quanto le api siano importanti. La loro indiscussa importanza non le ha preservate da diverse situazioni problematiche. Ma alla fine, ti starai chiedendo, perché sono cosí tanto in pericolo? Perché rischiano di scomparire? Le ragioni purtroppo sono veramente tante. Te ne diciamo alcune: il cambiamento climatico, l’uso di pesticidi e sostanze chimiche in agricoltura, ibridazioni con specie non locali, l’inquinamento,…se guardi bene, sono tutte ragioni piú o meno collegate tra loro e tutte con una cosa in comune: l’uomo.

E adesso?? Ci serve una bussola!

Si sta pian piano raggiungendo la consapevolezza che c’é bisogno di un vero e proprio cambio di rotta. Bisogna far qualcosa se non per rimediare, almeno per non peggiorare ulteriormente. Tuttavia, ad ogni buon cambio di rotta che si rispetti, si ha bisogno di una bussola per darsi una giusta direzione e in questo caso ecco la nostra bussola: il green deal. Un patto a livello europeo approvato a inizio 2020, che prevede una serie di misure per un mondo piú sostenibile.

Obiettivi? Promuovere una politica sempre piú circolare e ridurre l’inquinamento in modo da tutelare il piú possibile la biodiversitá. Si vuole essere a buon punto entro e non oltre il 2050. Obiettivi di questi obiettivi? Lasciare un mondo ancora in sistema alle generazioni future.

Il green deal e la tutela della biodiversitá

Per quanto riguarda in particolare il sostenere la biodiversitá, tra gli obiettivi a breve termine (entro il 2030), troviamo: stabilire piú aree protette tra terre e mari, incentivare l’agricoltura bio, proteggere gli impollinatori, ripulire almeno 25mila km dei fiumi europei. Inoltre, si vogliono piantare 3 miliardi di alberi e ridurre l’uso dei pesticidi del 50%.

L’Unione Europea ce la sta mettendo tutta per rallentare il surriscaldamento globale cercando di ridurre il piú possibile le emissioni di combustibili fossili. Strettamente legato a tutto ció, il fatto di seminare sostenibilitá: dal potenziare i mezzi di trasporto pubblici a proteggere la biodiversitá, salvaguardando foreste e animali che rischiano l’estinzione.

Ma piú nel pratico? Qualche esempio dal green deal?

Il green deal ha supportato una serie di ricerche che stanno contribuendo nel concretizzare i suoi obiettivil. Ero curiosa, pure tu? Spulciando sul sito della commissione europea ho trovato alcuni esempi interessanti:

  • Progetto MUSICA (che sta per MUltiple-use-of Space for Island Clean Autonomy, traducibile in Spazio multi-uso per la pulizia autonoma insulare). Cioè?? Questo progetto permette a piccole isole di essere completamente autonome dal punto di vista energetico con l’uso dell’energia eolica, solare e delle onde. Praticamente si utilizzano le sue naturali risorse rinnovabili (tra vento, sole e onde…ne hanno in abbondanza, no?) per decarbonizzarsi, per liberarsi dai combustibili fossili. Da qui si cercherá di offrire sempre piú servizi green, serbatoi di energia rinnovabile, ecc
  • Poi abbiamo SPARCs (che sta per Sustainable energy Positive & zero cARbon CommunitieS, tradotto? Communitá ad energia sostenibile positiva e zero emissioni di carbonio). Qua si ha l’obiettivo di trasformare le aree urbane in produttori e consumatori di energia (qui ho trovato per la prima volta il termine ´prosumatore´). Un progetto corale con la collaborazione di quante piú persone, dai cittadini alle aziende, a chi ha poteri decisionali sul territorio. Inclusione verde.
